I’m not trying to write a literary novel. I’m trying to write an entertaining one. I’ve spent enough years being bored, sitting in classrooms with a great novel in my hands, only for my imagination to wander toward the steamy encounter I secretly wished I were reading instead.

My stories come from years of watching humanity closely—in all its decency, hypocrisy, beauty, and hilarity.

I’m a deeply flawed person who once thought my fascination with the erotic was a weakness. Writing erotic fiction began as an outlet for that impulse. It soon became an outlet for political frustration as well. Power and desire, after all, have always been lovers.

Beneath the mess, at the core of my being, is a fundamental decency and respect for humanity. I love talking to strangers, and I’m endlessly fascinated by what people reveal when they feel comfortable enough to be honest.

I intend to keep writing stories. Stay tuned—or stay away. Either way you swing is fine by me.
